Delete Your Threadkeeper Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your Threadkeeper account and what happens to your data.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Threadkeeper app
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Scroll to Account
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm your decision

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you can't access the app, email us at privacy@threadkeeper.app with:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"

We'll process your request within 48 hours and confirm when complete.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

What We May Retain

For legal and operational purposes, we may retain:

Data Type Retention Period Reason
Anonymized, aggregated analytics Up to 12 months App improvement (not linked to you)
Payment transaction records Up to 7 years Tax and legal compliance
Support correspondence Up to 2 years Legal compliance

Important: Retained data cannot be used to identify you or reconstruct your content.

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives:

  • Export your data first: Download all your entries, transcripts, and summaries from Settings → Export Data
  • Take a break: You can simply stop using the app without deleting your account
  • Contact support: If something isn't working right, we'd love to help fix it at support@threadkeeper.app

Deletion is Permanent

Once your account is deleted:

  • Your data cannot be recovered
  • You cannot undo this action
  • Any active subscription will be cancelled (no refunds for partial periods)
